Although not initially obvious, the series depicts the complex dynamics that arise as a Black person living in the United States. Shot outside of the National Museum of African American History, Amarachi utilizes a myriad of electrifying poses to showcase her thriving creativity despite being on tainted soil. Fueled by the strong history of Black activists and common folk alike, “I too Am America” ‘s bold colors and poses are a testament to the undeniable presence of Black people in the U.S.
